You can use the roof cost calculator and see a full estimate without an account, an email address, a phone number or any contractor contact. We do not sell homeowner leads, and nothing on this site requires you to be contacted by a roofing company to see a price range.

When you generate an estimate, the structured inputs you chose (roof size, pitch, complexity, material, layer count, add-ons and similar answers) and the resulting range are recorded so we can see how the pricing engine behaves in practice and improve it. Where a location is used, we store only the first three digits of the ZIP code, not the full ZIP, and never a street address.

Your estimate itself is held in your own browser during the session. It is not published, and estimate pages are not shareable links containing your inputs.

If you check a contractor quote, the structured values you enter — such as the quoted total, roof size, material and complexity — and the resulting comparison band are recorded. We do not ask for, and do not want, the contractor’s identity, your name or your address as part of that check.

Every tool on this site works without an email address. If you choose to ask us to email you an estimate, a quote report or the roofing quote checklist, we store the address you enter, an optional first name, an optional ZIP prefix, which page you asked from, the times you asked, and a snapshot of exactly the result being sent — so the email contains the figures you actually saw.

Asking for one of those emails is a request you made, so the message that fulfils it is transactional and is sent regardless of any marketing choice. The marketing checkbox is separate, optional and unticked by default; consent is recorded as false unless you tick it. One record is kept per email address rather than one per request, and the address is never placed in a URL, in analytics, in page metadata or in public logs. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

We do not run advertising trackers or sell your inputs — or your email address — to roofing companies. We do not build a marketing profile about you. If that ever changes, this page changes first and the change will be described here in the same plain language.

The only accounts on this site belong to internal pricing administrators, who sign in to review data sources and pricing assumptions. Those accounts are not available to the public.

This is an honest description of current behaviour rather than a lawyer-reviewed policy document. As the product adds features — saved estimates, accounts, or optional contractor introductions — this page will be revised before those features ship.
